Tuesday Tarot with Rock and Roll Witch helps us get us ready to take action over the coming week. Tuesday is the day of Mars, a planet that’s all about making sh*t happen.
As we move into the waning crescent moon, it’s time to look to the things in our lives that we no longer need. I pulled a couple cards for the Way of Witch community to gain some insight as to what we need to shed during this lunar cycle.
The 10 of Wands shows us as beasts of burden, picking up the responsibility for something big, perhaps everything! Could it be that we are carrying around a collective sense of responsibility to try to fix things that are much bigger than us? Sometimes we may wake up in the morning already maxed out, all of our spoons have been spent before we even brush our teeth. Let’s examine how much of the baggage of others we actually need to carry around, particularly if our own already weighs us down. Perhaps we can pick four unnecessary burdens to put down or four energetic sucks to avoid.
With the Six of Swords, we might even take stock of the things that no longer serve us and determine how we can reroute our energies into locating and setting sail for better shores, as this card is often depicted with a despondent soul getting ready to board a boat toward a hopeful destination. Called “Science” by Crowley, the Six of Swords demands a rational approach to something that may present as deeply emotional. If there is something that has been absorbing our energy with no thought to how it taxes us, maybe it’s time to sever ties completely. This could suggest a tactical approach, removing just enough of our labor from a situation to give us some breathing room.
Guidance: Identify things that are sucking energy and let them go! Determine what “better shores” look like. Engage in active visualization of releasing and taking stock. Perhaps you could incorporate this in your new moon intention.
